Happy Birthday David!
David's classic birthday meal: pork chops, macaroni and cheese, Caesar salad... and banana cream pie. It never disappoints. Happy Birthday David!

Eastside FC Soccer Tourney
Monroe's team lost in the finals, but they were amazing. Monroe played goalie for half the game and saved three penalty kicks!!

12th Annual Family Beach Trip: Seaside
Another August, another family beach trip to Seaside, Oregon! It was filled with the usual fun and chaos and #cousinland antics! Uncle Damian and Grandma Connie joined us for a bit, and Connie and I even joined in for some tilt-a-whirl action. Of course there was also plenty of beach time, hanging out, playing lawn games, and many trips into town for ice cream.

Conway Gets a Haircut
Conway finally got fed up with brushing out his long hair and opted for a new haircut! And he's still as handsome as ever.
{And still long enough for some pretty good bedhead}

Alanis Morissette!!
As a Christmas gift, Sarah got me/us tickets to an upcoming Alanis Morissette concert in Portland. And the day of the concert finally came!! Alanis was the first concert I ever went to back when I was in high school, and she is just as marvelous as she was back then. It was such a fun night - thank you Sarah!

River Girls Reunion in Madison
This year's river girls reunion was in Madison, WI! Elly was kind enough to let us all stay with her, and she and Anna were our very gracious tour guides around their amazing city. We explored neighborhoods, walked around the University of Wisconsin, visited the capital building, and paddle boarded on Lake Monona. One night we even got to have dinner with others from the river trip who live in Madison! We also played bocce ball, went to a surprising concert (Anna's son, Ryan, is in a death metal band(!) called Monolith), and just hung out, chatted, and laughed a lot. It was beyond wonderful to be together again, and I can't wait for our next reunion!
