The Cougs Go to the Sun Bowl & We Go to a Diner

Our Washington State Cougars played in the Sun Bowl on New Year's Eve morning, so we decided to head to a diner to watch the game. The food was good, the company was good, but the game was not good. We left the diner when the Cougs were down 21-0 at halftime - we were getting frustrated and the kids were getting antsy. WSU did come back and score some actual points, but it was too little too late, and they lost 24-21. Next time...

So Much Snow in Seattle!

{Uh, not sure what's happening here. Creepy much?}

When the Bears Play the Seahawks...

...apparently you put your whole Bears uniform on to go watch the game. Our house is divided, but the Bears fans are way more enthusiastic and vocal.

Camas Christmas

{Not enough snow on the ground, but it made the trampoline extra fun}

Christmas Eve: The Longest Night of the Year for Kids

With the threat of snow in the forecast, David's parents considered not making the trek to Seattle and we're so glad they decided to take the train up! We all actually made it to in-person church on Christmas Eve, a service that is led by the 5th graders at our church, so we got to see Parker practice taking on a leadership role in the church. He did great! And of course, the boys baked cookies for Santa with David, as is the tradition in our house. Then the kids were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of sugarplums (or Santa) danced in their heads.

Christmas Puzzling

The puzzle was supposed to be for the kids to do, but I didn't mind a bit of Christmas puzzle time with my buddy, Conway, and a cocktail - it's a pretty good time!

We Got a Christmas Tree!

December means going to Trinity Tree Farm in Issaquah and bringing home the perfect tree. We picked out the tree, watched the machine shake off all the loose needles, ran around the farm, did tree yoga poses, and enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies. Even in the rain, it felt pretty successful!
