Merry Christmas!

Nothing is "normal" these days...except the sheer joy of waking up on Christmas morning in a house that Santa has visited. We can still find joy. And we remain eternally grateful for the Messiah's birth. Merry Christmas!

{Monroe's note to Santa: "Uh, hey dude. I love you Santa."}

Rest Time?

Rest time on the couch is rarely relaxing or successful...

Stuffie Christmas Tree

Apparently it took longer than the boys would have liked for us to get Christmas decorations on the tree so they took things into their own hands and decorated it with stuffed animals and other toys. Ha!

On the Hunt for a Christmas Tree

This is not the tree we took home with us from Trinity Tree Farm, but it did seem like it would be appropriate to get a wonky tree this year. Instead we picked out a normal sized tree and spent the next hour running through the trees, playing with sticks, and climbing on old stumps.

Long Time, No See

It had been SOOOO long since we'd seen David's family and in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy we decided against having a big Thanksgiving feast together. We did have a masked meet-up, though. It was really nice to finally see them and chat, even if we could only see half of their faces. 😏

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, it wasn't a normal Thanksgiving and we still didn't get to spend time with everyone we would have liked, but we did get to have a feast with Aunt Sarah, Uncle Matt, Philip, and Sami. It was a much smaller group than in years past, but we felt extra thankful to see these few loved ones.

{Eating so much yummy food is exhausting}

A Change of Scenery

We headed to Cle Elum for a few days before Thanksgiving just to get a change of scenery. It snowed a little while we were there so we got to frolic in the snow, build a snowman, and of course the boys also wanted to play football in the snow. We also took some time to go for walks, sip hot cocoa, play games, and just relax. We're together A LOT these days and sometimes just changing up the location helps us enjoy each other a bit more. :-)

So. Many. Devices.

As if we weren't all using devices enough these days, Conway and Monroe decided to make more devices out of the other thing that's plentiful these days...Amazon boxes.

How Totten Brothers Watch the Seahawks

Because sometimes the Seahawks are tough to watch and you just need some support to get through the game.
