For spring break this year we headed to Palm Springs with our good friends the Hueys. The guys golfed one day and us girls spent one day at a spa, but truth be told the vast majority of our time was spent at the house we rented, El Camino Relaxo. The house checked so many boxes on our vacation house wish list, including some we didn't even know to wish for like a patch of yard perfect for mini soccer matches and a game room complete with ping pong, shuffle board, pinball, and others! But my favorite part of the house was definitely the pool area, which at almost any given time of the day had some lounge chairs in the sun and some in the shade so everyone could find their perfect spot. And here are a few more pics from the trip...
The kids took to having breakfast poolside. Not bad livin'.
The four big boys shared a room with two queen beds. We weren't confident that this sleeping arrangement would work, but they did great in spite of the creative ways they slept some nights.
David is always up for a challenge and decided to take all five(!) boys to mini golf. Pretty sure Monroe was the loose canon on that trip, but they all made it back happy and healthy.
Conway doesn't "nap" anymore, but that just means we don't tuck him into his bed in the middle of the day. If left sitting on a couch during the day he will usually end up like this.
One of our few outings was a walk to get ice cream at Kreem. Yum! Monroe is both voracious and incredibly slow when it comes to eating ice cream, a very messy combination.
And we saw some pretty sweet outfits as we were in Palm Springs during Coachella.
Did I mention the garage that was converted into a game room? Us adults had a pretty good time in there too.
