David and I recently took a trip to Napa while my mom stayed with the boys. It was such a treat to spend a few days just the two of us. We tasted more than our fair share of incredible wines, had so many delicious meals, saw lots of live music, and walked the course at a PGA golf tournament. Here are a few photos...
{Most mornings started with a trip to Model Bakery for their amazing English muffin breakfast sandwiches. Yum!}
{Alfresco lunch at Farmstead}
{A couple of nights after dinner we popped into clubs with live music}
{David wanted to show the boys a picture of himself sitting in The BFG's chair ☺}
{Safeway Open PGA Tour Golf Tournament - behind David and his Coors Light is John Daly}
{Weezer concert!}
Here are some of the places we visited and loved...
Incredible wineries: Orin Swift, Hall, White Hall Lane, Artesa, Sullivan, Stewart Cellars
Delicious restaurants: Model Bakery, Grace's Table, Farmstead, Morimoto, Bistro Don Giovanni, Torc
And while we were away...
{Monroe finishing everyone's corn}
{Great Grandma Lois' new obsession with ice cream cones went over pretty well with the kids}
{The house was very festive when we returned}
What we didn't know until we arrived back home was that we left with basically only a few hours to spare before the wildfires blew in and much of the area was devastated. Such a lovely place that is now tasked with much rebuilding. And not everyone was as lucky as us to make it out safely. Our prayers are with them.

Thank you Napa! We had an incredible time and we will be back for more...
hopefully soon.
