Neko and Her Boys

Nearly every afternoon we go for a walk and a stop at the Coe playground is always requested by at least two out of the three young Totten boys. They love the playground, but the real reason they make this request with such urgency is that their friend Neko is often there with Coe's after school care. They love playing with Neko, she loves having three live dolls to play with, and I love that she is basically free childcare while I relax on the sidelines. Seriously, it's a huge win for everyone!

So Long, Kindergarten

Parker graduated Kindergarten! Not that Parker graduating is a surprise, but how is this guy already a first grader?! I really don't even have words - except to say that we are so proud of how hard he worked this year on reading, writing, being a good friend, problem solving, and so much more. Congratulations Parker! Look out first grade!!

Monroe's Baptism

Monroe Keller Totten was baptized on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Bethany Presbyterian Church on Queen Anne by Pastor Doug Kelly. We chose to dedicate Proverbs 3:3-6 to Monroe on this special day.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Happy Father's Day

David loves a picnic so for Father's Day we of course packed a picnic dinner and headed to Gas Works Park. These boys sure are lucky to have this guy in their corner. I don't know anyone who enjoys spending time with his kids more than David - and the feeling is absolutely mutual. Their favorite person in the whole world is their papa. It's hard to argue with their logic because I couldn't agree more. He's pretty darn amazing!

{Funny story: When David leaves for work in the morning he often tells the boys that he's "off to turn the wheels of industry". Conway's verbal skills are pretty good, but that sentence was a bit lost in translation with his teachers who for the card they made at school interpreted it as his father's job being to "turn the wheels in the street". Ha!}
