David and I recently spent a glorious long weekend in San Diego...without kids! Thanks to a divide and conquer approach, the kids spent time with various family members in Camas while we got out of town. A HUGE thanks to all of them! The idea was to go somewhere warm and just relax. It was sunny and beautiful in San Diego and apparently even hotter in Camas. Here's a brief recap of each family member's experiences.
Day 1
{Conway and Parker enjoyed time at Grandma Dianna and Grandpa Terry's before Parker headed over to his cousins' house}
Day 2
{A delicious late breakfast at Mission after David's run and my (gasp!) trip to the gym}
{Hiking Cowles Mountain - San Diego, Lake Murray, Mexico and the Pacific Ocean in the distance behind us}
{Elevation 1,591 feet above sea level - the highest point in San Diego with a 360 degree view}
{Conway's favorite toy at Grandma and Grandpa's house - a football of course}
{Parker apparently insisted on riding the bike with tassels while staying with Uncle Matt, Aunt Sarah, Philip, and Samantha}
{Popsicle break}
Day 3
{Ferry ride to Coronado Beach}
{Biking along the waterfront}
{Selfie while riding!}
{Parker and his cousins stripped down to undies and cooled off with a hose at Grandma Connie and Grandpa Bob's}
{Too hot to play inside so the Legos moved outside}
Day 4
{High fives for Grandpa Terry}
{Saying goodbye is no fun}
{Brothers reunited with kisses on the trampoline}
{One last tractor ride with Grandpa Bob}
{Tractor rides sure look fun}
