For our second annual trip to the Oregon Coast with Matt, Sarah, Philip, and Samantha we went to Rockaway Beach. The house was basically on the beach with only a very short walk through the dunes. Even better than the proximity to the sand, though, was the weather this year. Last year we were very happy just to have it dry for most of the trip, but this year it was actually warm, darn near hot at some points. Not bad for the Oregon Coast in October! It's so fun to see these cousins playing together and I hope we can continue to make these annual beach trips a reality. The Oregon Coast brings back such great memories for Sarah and me camping at Fort Stevens and I would love for our kids to come away with some similar memories from these family trips.
Parker and Philip slept in the same room for the first time and they did great. Even though Parker was in his "sleep tent", he still got to be on the top bunk... another first for him. Fun!

Philip is such a great older cousin. He's so gentle and loving with Conway and sets a really great example for Parker... most of the time. :-)
